Kestrel’s new business development manager for North West

With more than two decades in the manufacturing and construction sectors, Kestrel’s new business development manager for the North West, Chris Parkinson, is far from the new kid on the block.

Burnley-based Chris, who started working with the fascia, cladding and soffit brand in May, has wasted no time in getting to know Kestrel products and its customers.

Chris comments: “I’ve joined a great team at Kestrel, having spent some time training at the headquarters in Scunthorpe to get an overview of the product range and different parts of the business.

“My job now is getting to know the Kestrel customers, to help them develop their businesses.”

With an area that spans from Anglesey in the west to Humberside in the east, Chris has a lot of opportunities to do that and having worked across the North West in his previous role as an area manager, has wasted no time getting out to meet customers.

Chris continues: “I’m enjoying meeting the customers and understanding a bit more about what products are most demand in their area, but I’m also working on bringing in some new business for Kestrel as well.”

Outside of work, the father-of-four makes the most of the Lancashire countryside having taken up trail running during the pandemic lockdown.

Chris adds: “Being in sales it can be hard to switch off, but trail running has taught me to detach and recharge, it has been a positive change out of a really difficult time.”

Alongside running Chris is a decades-long follower of Everton and after a tough season was delighted to see his team keep their place in the Premier League. He’s also a keen follower of Formula 1, making an annual trip to Silverstone.
