Knauf Insulation recently attended the RCI Show, where it exhibited its Urbanscape green roofing system and new Earthwool RoofSlab Hybrid to fellow roofing, cladding and insulation professionals.
Comprising a combination of rock mineral wool and PIR, Knauf Insulation’s Earthwool RoofSlab Hybrid has been developed for use with cold applied liquid membranes and mechanically fixed single ply membranes.
The product, which has been designed to offer both flexibility and thermal performance, can also be used with built-up felt and mastic asphalt waterproofing systems.
The company’s Urbanscape green roofing system was also showcased on its stand: developed to reduce the impact of storm water and assist with energy saving, the system offers easy installation and impressive water management.
Knauf held a presentation to showcase the system’s benefits; the company’s James Hulbert also presented a seminar, which discussed acoustic testing and the benefits of combining PIR and rock mineral wool in the Earthwool RoofSlab Hybrid.
Visitors that requested information about the latter were entered into a prize draw, giving them the opportunity to win a driving experience in a BMW i8 hybrid supercar.
Knauf Insulation’s Polyfoam ECO Roofboard Extra and Slimline Zero Membrane inverted roof system were also on display at the show, which took place on 27th and 28th January. The company’s Earthwool FactoryClad was used to construct the arch that towered over the stand, demonstrating the flexibility of its products and systems.
The company also benefited from a demonstration area at the show, which was used to encourage industry feedback on its Kventi insulation system, which will soon be scheduled for launch.
