Kooltherm from Kingspan Tarec for Dunlop new manufacturing facility

1,000 linear metres of Kingspan Tarec Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation were installed on the on the heating and domestic services pipework as well as on the supply vent ductwork across the building by M&E Contractors, P&R Morson.

  • new facility achieved an EPC ‘A’ 21 rating and BREEAM 2011 ‘Very Good’ accreditation

Michael Slevin, Senior Contract Manager at P&R Morson commented “We were delighted with both the product and service we received from Kingspan Tarec.  Their technical assistance with regards to the BREEAM requirements was extremely useful and we experienced a trouble free installation with the product.”

Products from Kingspan Environmental were also used during the construction of this development in conjunction with the Kingspan Tarec Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation as the two systems complement each other.

Kingspan Tarec Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation

  • FM approved to Approval Standard 4924
  • holds a European fire classification of BL-s1,d0
  • insulated core is manufactured with a blowing agent which has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP)
  • includes a passivated bore liner which reduces the risks associated with moisture penetration
  • awarded a best possible BRE Green Guide Summary Rating of A , allowing it to contribute further towards a building’s BREEAM rating
