Matalan’s new Headquarters have been built on Knowsley Industrial Park in the place of a former Petrolite site.
Comprising distribution and storage facilities as well as office space, the head office has been fitted with life-safety equipment from C-TEC.
Four SigTEL disabled refuge controllers have been installed to allow for two-way communication between building management and the refuge areas in the case of an emergency.
An 800 Series call controller provides emergency call facilities in the building’s accessible toilets; this alerts staff if an alarm is activated inside.
The building’s server room has also been fitted with one of C-TEC’s EP203 automatic extinguisher fire panels.
The panels have been developed to release fire suppressant gas to extinguish fire without damaging the equipment housed in the protected area.
