Marble is the popular choice for architects and designers

The National Federation of Terrazzo Marble and Mosaic Specialists are focusing on presenting goods well to boost sales.

For this reason, marble is becoming increasingly popular for architects and designers for floors and walls, as it is a natural and sustainable material and meets the current trends for more colour.

The END flagship store in Newcastle city centre, occupying a five storey Grade I listed building, is furnished in Carrara marble and concrete and featuring other elements such as brushed steel, reclaimed brickwork and natural maple wood.

Arabescator, a grey marble with black veining, has recently been used in END’s latest store in Glasgow’s ‘Style Mile’. While this marble is often used for circular patterns, here marble specialist, Diespeker, made book matched it to create a diagonal linear look.

Leading suppliers of marble, as well as terrazzo and other stones are all members of The NFTMMS.
