Marley Alutec has expanded its BIM object product portfolio with the addition of its new Flush-fit Downpipe sizes.
As the only rainwater systems manufacturer to offer its entire product range in BIM format, Marley Alutec allows specifiers to design a complete rainwater or eaves system in just a few clicks.
The new Flush-fit Downpipes are designed to offer increased options for properties, in response to customer demand for a greater variety of sizes.
Expanding on the existing 76mm circular and 72mm x 72mm square options, the range now includes a 63mm circular design for small and medium sized properties. For larger buildings, a 102mm circular and 102mm x 76mm and 102mm x 102mm square options have also been added to give specifiers, house builders and installers a greater choice of options.
The downpipes are available in 21 standard colours and are compatible with Marley Alutec’s Evolve and Alligator aluminium guttering systems. The addition of architectural grade polyester powder coating means that the Flush-fit range has long lasting kerb appeal and retains its original colour and gloss.
Manufactured from marine grade aluminium, the product meets British and European standards and is impervious to corrosion, with virtually no maintenance required throughout its 50 year life expectancy.
Brian Bell, the Technical Services Manager at Marley Alutec commented: “The 2016 deadline to achieve level 2 BIM compatibility on all centrally procured government projects is just around the corner, meaning more and more specifiers will be looking for BIM compliant products.
The success of BIM implementation is heavily dependent on the provision of compatible and readily available components, which is why we are committed to ensuring our full product portfolio is in this format. We’re very proud to be at the front of the rainwater industry when it comes to embracing this new technology.”
