This years gallery of British design features Ruth Arams Aldwych No 1 Console.
The console is part of the Aldwych collection; the first pieces were manufactured from sweet chestnut wood, which was reclaimed
from an old building opposite Aram Store.
Ruth, who worked closely with furniture manufacturers as a buyer for Aram Store, made her first venture into furniture design with this collection.
