MCRMA adds a further five organisations to its membership

  • 29 Jul 2024

The MCRMA’s membership has increased further in the second quarter of 2024, with five more businesses who represent a diverse range of expertise being approved to join the trade association dedicated to the metal building envelope sector.

New members Capital Coated Steel, Hadley Group, Liquasil, PLS Surveys and Attain RTC take the association’s total membership to 50 organisations. This reflects increased interest amongst businesses from all corners of the building envelope sector in being part of a specialist association that can support their long term success.

All five businesses bring additional expertise, experience and insights to the association, which was founded in 1990 originally to support roofing and cladding systems manufacturers, but now represents companies working at every stage of the metal building envelope supply chain. This includes component manufacturers, system installers, designers, independent inspectors and organisations supporting the sector through services such as testing, R&D, marketing and insurance.

The new members

Capital Coated Steel, which is a stockholder, processor and roll-former of coated and un-coated metals for the building envelope, HVAC and engineering markets, joins the MCRMA’s systems manufacturer members.

Another addition to this membership category is Hadley Group. It is a world leader in advanced cold rolled steel technology, with manufacturing facilities in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, providing solutions for sectors including construction, automotive, industrial and agriculture.

Liquasil is a manufacturer of specialist, silicone roof coatings and a unique liquid gutter liner, including its Metalseal product for the refurbishment of metal profiled roofs. It becomes the latest member in the association’s component manufacturers category.

Attain RTC becomes the newest MCRMA member in the product research and testing arena, operating a UKAS-Accredited laboratory within its 40,000 square foot facility in Yorkshire. And PLS Surveys adds a further dimension to the association’s independent inspector membership. It is an established firm of roofing and cladding consultants providing impartial advice to help clients seeking to achieve excellence in their project and protect their investments by checking that building envelope installation is completed in a compliant manner.

Clare Fenton, Chair of the MCRMA, comments: “We are delighted to welcome our five new members who all share the vision of our association to continuously raise the bar on the quality, longevity and sustainability of metal building envelopes.

“They bring a diverse range of expertise that will make an important contribution to the development of future technical resources, and I’m sure they will benefit from the opportunities for collaboration that MCRMA membership provides, as well as building their networks in the sector.”
