MCRMA publishes guidance on pre-laminated membrane gutters

  • 2 Jul 2019

The Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) has published a guidance document titled Pre-laminated membrane and factory assembled insulated pre-laminated membrane gutters.

The purpose of the guidance is to provide best practice advice on the specification of industrial pre-laminated membrane gutters and factory assembled insulated pre-laminated membrane gutters which are regarded as the system of choice for industrial, commercial and warehouse applications.

The document defines the terminology used and provides a product and system description for the two systems under consideration.

As well as this, the guidance document provides advice about structural design, design capacity and thermal performance.

It also deals with the thermal welding of the polymeric membrane and the importance of carrying out sample QA peel tests to set welding parameters during the installation process.

The guidance document can be downloaded via the MCRMA website.
