Midland Heart provide refreshed office space

  • 23 Jan 2017

After Novus Property Solutions installed new office layouts and kitchen breakout areas at housing support provider Midland Heart, the Birmingham-based staff are enjoying some refreshed and improved office space.

A full refit of the main reception area at Midland Heart’s main office on Bath Row in Birmingham was carried out by refurbishment specialists, Novus. As a result, a greater choice of meeting spaces has been created by the work, and also ensured better space utilisation by removing or altering internal partitions, as well as adding new layouts and relaxation zones.

Running from August through to December, the refurbishment project was worth more than £350,000. The creation of a number of small office touchdown points at various locations around the Midlands is supporting a move to more flexible working and reducing the cost of Midland Heart’s offices portfolio.

Novus contracts manager Jason Bowen explained that the project required careful scheduling and consideration for staff working in the buildings affected. Ensuring that all the buildings worked on remained fully operational throughout the refurbishments, including the use of sound barriers and night work.

Andrew Foster, a project sponsor and Midland Heart director commented: “We are very pleased with the work Novus did for us across a number of locations, which has given us good quality ad flexible office space at a competitive price. “The Novus team worked effectively with the in-house team to plan and execute the work and to keep to a minimum any operational impact of the works being done.”
