Mitsubishi Electric launches Augmented Reality App to help households visualise Ecodan heat humps

  • 14 Feb 2025

Mitsubishi Electric is proud to announce the launch of a new augmented reality (AR) app specially designed to assist households in visualising an Ecodan air source heat pump in their home before buying. This innovative tool allows users to see exactly how a heat pump will fit in their space, helping them make informed decisions about placement and installation.

With the growing demand for energy-efficient heating solutions, Mitsubishi Electric is committed to providing tools that make the transition to low-carbon heating as seamless as possible.

The new AR app offers homeowners the ability to:

 – See how a heat pump fits in their home before purchasing

 – Adjust placement to find the best location for installation

 – Understand the size, shape, and impact of the unit in a space

 – Access links to the next step – Find My Ecodan

 – View product information and watch an educational video on how a heat pump works.

Joanna Crown, Product Marketing Manager at Mitsubishi Electric, says: “We are excited to introduce this cutting-edge augmented reality app, which will help households visualise their investment in renewable heating technology.

“By using AR, we are making it easier than ever for households to understand the benefits of an air source heat pump, simplifying the decision-making process, ensuring that they have all the information needed to choose the best place for an Ecodan in their home.”

The Ecodan AR app underscores Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, and to give customers the information they need to confidently transition to renewable heating solutions.
