National Ventilation, a leading UK-based ventilation manufacturer and supplier, launches a new whole-house ventilation design service for design and build projects, with a dedicated new specification team.
Aimed at architects, developers and builders with developments of 100 plots or less, the free service provides a full whole-house ventilation design, which will detail unit calculations, a full kit list, recommended duct routes, as well as a pre-order site visit where necessary.
The design service is also not limited to domestic solutions; the design team can offer the same support for commercial and industrial applications.
To take up the free design service architects, developers and builders are now able to simply go direct to the National Ventilation website at www.nationalventilation.co.uk/design-service/ where they can upload their building drawings.
Once the design team has the project’s building drawings it will then produce free professional REVIT ventilation designs for the customer.
The service will help in designing and specifying whole house ventilation, such as Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), with National Ventilation providing a free step-by-step guide to explain the process.
Christian Rehn, National Sales Manager at National Ventilation, comments: “With the rise in new build homes showing no signs of slowing, and MVHR being the whole-house ventilation solution of choice, we decided to expand our free design service setting up a new team.
“By providing the service direct to architects, developers and builders working on small to medium size developments, we’re able to offer the knowledge they need and the service they deserve.
“And whilst energy efficient MVHR provides excellent indoor air quality and is an important element of lowering carbon emissions from the built environment, it does require specialist knowledge to design a system. This is where our design team comes in.”
The design team offers customers the knowledge they need on regulations, design and ventilation. This includes the latest on the soon to be launched revisions of Part L and Part F of the Building Regulations, as well as the Future Homes Standard.
The team also provides ventilation design that fits seamlessly into a project and ensures no clashes with architect drawings, steels etc.
Furthermore, the team supplies information on how a whole-house ventilation system works and its many benefits: with Net Zero not far away, those in the building industry need to know about MVHR since it is set to be the technology of choice for new build ventilation.
This is thanks to MVHR reducing the carbon footprint of homes, as well as effectively and efficiently tackling indoor air pollution, and CO2 and humidity levels, resulting in good indoor air quality and a healthy home.
The new design team will also ensure customers receive the service they deserve. Customers can easily upload the architect’s drawings and National Ventilation will then provide a free ventilation design that includes unit calculations, a full kit list, as well as recommended duct routes.
Using project drawings, National Ventilation’s team uses their specialist knowledge of the equipment coupled with software programmes to specify the correctly sized ventilation unit and the correct type and lengths of ducting – whilst ensuring it meets Building Regulations.
This is followed up where necessary by a free pre-order site visit to ensure the design will perform as intended: although a design may appear correct on paper, it is vital to ensure a design works on site.
This visit avoids any issues and is a great trouble shooting exercise. Architects, developers and builders will also be able to access a comprehensive range of products to meet their needs, all of which are delivered to site when they are needed.
By using a free planning and advice service, such as the one offered by National Ventilation, architects, developers and builders can be safe in the knowledge that they are using a well-designed, fit for purpose system and will have a point of contact that will assist them throughout the entire job.
