A clear sign the company are strengthening in preparation for the new year, Manchester-based SCC Design Build have appointed three new directors to the business’ board.

The construction business, which employs over 200 people, welcomes Carl Sherwood, promoted to the role of Procurement Director, David Morris, taking over the role of Financial Director and Jim Durkan, becoming Commercial Director, to their new positions.

Carl and Jim bring more than 15 years of experience at SCC Design Build to their new roles, whilst David joined in 2015.

Eamon McDonnell, Managing Director of SCC Design Build, commented: “The development of staff within the business is part our DNA and all three promotions have been well earned.

“It’s been a landmark year for the business and the newly strengthened board of directors give us an edge going forward, due to the combined experience it now offers.”

These latest appointments follow what has been a busy time of things for the leading manufacturer of bespoke precast concrete solutions, who have played big parts in large projects such as Leeds’ Holbeck Urban Village development, the ground-breaking Pomona Island site in Manchester, and schemes at universities, including Sheffield and Leeds.

Major investments are due to be announced in upcoming months as well, so it is certainly an exciting time for the company who are based in Stockport.
