Crown Decorating Centres (CDCs) will bring their love for colour to Barrow-in-Furness this February, with the opening of a brand-new store on Valentine’s Day.
The new store, creating four new jobs, will open on Monday 14 February at 7am at Phoenix Court, Phoenix Road, Barrow-in-Furness. The store will be open from 7am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.
CDCs set out to give both tradespeople and at-home DIYers a one-stop destination for products and advice for their paint projects.
The team at the Barrow-in-Furness store, which will be the first of its kind in the local area, will be on hand to offer extensive in-house colour expertise, with guides and resources on how colour can be used in different rooms and against various lighting.
Barrow-in-Furness has been chosen as the location for the new Centre due to demand for a quality trade essentials and decorating equipment retailer in the area. The opening will mark the first of several CDCs set to open in the UK this year.
To mark the store’s launch, the CDC is offering customers 30% off their first purchase* across its range of products, which include interior and exterior paints and wallpaper, as well as decorating supplies and equipment from Crown Paints and other leading brands.
The new store will also offer the hugely popular Can Back recycling scheme, where people can return any branded old paint cans to be recycled responsibly. The scheme recycled more than half a million cans last year through CDCs. The store will also recycle decorative plastic through its Plastic Back scheme – the first of its kind among the popular paint brands.
Tony Denby, Store Manager at CDC Barrow, comments: “Our new Centre will offer the largest range of trade product in the area. We’re really looking forward to opening the new store and connecting with the local community in Barrow, its surrounding areas and across Cumbria more broadly.
“With a wide range of products, a free next day delivery service, and a colour match service, we’re excited to bring something new to the people of Barrow.”
