Aliaxis UK, the leading fluid management solutions provider, introduces a new transparent expansion coupler to its Marley PVC Solvent Soil system.
The intention of the coupler is to reduce installation and inspection time and help improve accuracy.
Helping to improve the speed, accuracy and efficiency of soil and waste drainage installations, the new transparent expansion coupler (SE409CLR) is compatible with the Marley PVC Solvent Soil range, offering customers a complete system solution. It is also possible to use the coupler in the push-fit soil system, with the same resulting install benefits.
As a result of the coupler’s transparency, installers can easily and visually determine the 10mm expansion gap needed when inserting pipe sections on site – as required in BS EN 12056-2:2000 on each floor level in a PVC-u soil system. The coupler also features a line showing the insertion depth on the exterior of the fitting, to offer further guidance.
In addition to helping ensure an accurate first-time installation, this new connector can facilitate a faster and more efficient means of install, without the need to first fully insert the pipe, mark its position and then withdraw it and measure the 10mm, as is standard practice.
Speaking about the launch, Scott Clark, Product Manager, says: “At Aliaxis UK, our attention is always on providing the very best solutions to our customers, in an effort to satisfy the ever-evolving challenges and needs of the industry.
“Our Marley transparent expansion coupler is the latest example of this commitment, enabling installers to deliver solvent soil projects quickly, more efficiently and to high degrees of accuracy.”
As well as delivering benefits for installers, the new transparent expansion coupler can also help simplify the inspection process, with the correct expansion gap clearly visible.
The original Marley PVC Soil expansion coupler – non-transparent – will continue to be available, providing customers with even more product options.
The Marley PVC Solvent Soil system is part of the Aliaxis UK portfolio for the wastewater market. Conforming to BS EN 1329, the range is quick to install and well-suited to most drainage requirements, being available in a choice of 82, 110 and 160mm sizes.
