New Fire Resistant Door Hardware Brochure from Lorient

  • 5 Mar 2020

Lorient has launched its latest Fire Resistant Door Hardware brochure, which includes new products and product datasheets.

Ironmongery is a vital part of a fire door. However, every time a fire door is cut to fit ironmongery, a weakness is created.

This could mean three or four weak points in a door, where fire can take hold. Adding intumescent door hardware kits protect those weak points.

Lorient’s new brochure includes a wide range of products including fire, smoke + security letterplates, door edge protectors, wide angle viewers, and a number of door hardware protection kits; which are made from intumescent sheet.

These are wrapped around each piece of ironmongery, such as hinges, locks and latches, door viewers and concealed closers, acting as an insulator.

Tested with a range of ironmongery, the company’s kits are supplied pre-cut to the exact dimensions, for quick and easy fitting.

New additions to the brochure include

 – New products – flush bolt, drop seal and bespoke protection kits
 – New product datasheets
 – Test evidence up to 120mins across a number of products
