ISO-Chemie received both full GGF Membership and a Glass Charter Bronze certificate at the event.

ISO-Chemie has become the latest full GGF Member, having been presented with a Members Certificate at the recent Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) Joint Window and Door Group and Conservatory Association Meeting in Solihull.

The company also received a Glass Charter Bronze Level 2 Certificate, highlighting the health and safety levels it has achieved under the GGF’s Glass Charter scheme.

Peter Thompson of ISO-Chemie commented that the company was ‘very pleased’ to have joined the GGF, stating that the company would attend relevant meetings to share its technical knowledge and network with other companies in the glass and glazing sector.

On gaining a Bronze Level 2 in the GGF Glass Charter scheme, he said: “We are strong supporters of raising health and safety awareness and standards both within the industry and with the general public. Health and Safety should not simply be a stick to hit people with or some sort of “jobs worth” or “tick box” excuse.

It should be there to protect our employees, as well as the public, and done in a realistic manner that allows people to get on with their work. I believe the right policy implemented realistically will benefit both business growth and the guys doing the job.”

The GGF Glass Charter was created in 2001 as part of the Government’s Revitalising Health and Safety Initiative in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). This year the scheme has been updated in line with the HSE’s 5 year strategy focusing on a pathway to continuous improvement.
