Videx’s new GSM PRO Door Entry System utilises mobile technology to communicate and operate doors, automatic gates, car parts and remote site applications.
Available in kit form, or as part of Videx’s 4000 Series modular door entry system, the new GSM PRO intercoms enable users to answer calls to their front door or gate from their mobile phone or landline.
Whilst allowing for greater security, the intercom has been designed to improve communication between visitors and users. An event log, which is maintained within the entry panel, records information, such as who has opened the door, who is being called and when.
Spoken call progress information is provided to ensure that the visitor is informed on how the call is progressing; four call progress LEDs offer a visual indication of its status.
Programming is carried out via SMS messaging or using the micro USB connection and PC software. The intercoms include an exit button, input, auxiliary inputs and outputs and a dry contact relay.
Featuring integrated proximity access control for up to 1,000 users, the system can be managed remotely. Administrators can operate their access control user fobs and cards, eliminating the need for an engineer to visit site and enrol, modify or delete users.
The intercom also boasts a 1,000 user dial to open access control, where users can dial the intercom number to release a door without being charged for the call.
An optional desk mount proximity reader, which can enrol a large number of users quickly, is also available.
Registration has opened for LIFTEX 2025. Now in its 37th year, the show is the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the lift, escalator and access industry and takes place only once every three years.
