The Metal Gutter Manufacturers Association (MGMA) has launched an online CPD programme for anyone seeking to develop their knowledge and skills within the metal rainwater systems sector.
The first approved CPD, Guidance on selecting the correct rainfall intensity, can be accessed by clicking here.
It provides the user with best practice advice in the selection of the correct rainfall intensity when specifying metal rainwater systems. The CPD offers advice on UK standards, the assessment of risk categories and the use of rainfall graphs.
The course material is studied offline with an online assessment component to verify knowledge. The module represents 60 minutes of professional development and following successful completion of the CPD, a certificate is available for immediate download and can be printed for the user’s personal records.
Additional CPDs are in the pipeline and will cover a range of topics, including standard aluminium and cast iron rainwater systems, inspection and maintenance programmes and eaves gutter installation recommendations
The CPDs will be accredited by the CPD Certification Service and are based on downloadable guidance documents, which have been drafted by industry experts from across the MGMA membership.
