New online resource targets aspiring construction workers

Jewson’s online tool branch, Jewson Tools, has created and published a resource for young people aspiring to emmerse themselves in the construction industry.

The Jewson Tool Shed has been developed to encourage young people to consider a career in construction and sustainability

Entitled the Jewson Tool Shed, the site provides information, guidance and advice with the hope of inspiring 16-24 year olds to choose a career in sustainability and construction.

By highlighting the opportunities available within the industry, Jewson aims to enthuse school leavers about the future of construction.

Construction, the future and you

The Shed examines the importance of the construction industry, explaining why it is crucial to the UK’s economy.

In additon to focusing on what lies ahead for the industry, the site also focuses on what construction work can offer.

It makes some useful suggestions on how young people can enter the construction and sustainability industry, should they choose to.

Interviews with several well-established construction and sustainability companies, such as Wienerberger, Wates Group and Intersave, are also featured.
