Armstrong Ceiling Solutions has launched a new engineered suspension system that is up to 20 per cent faster to install than standard systems.
The new TLS Prelude 24mm metal hook cross tees are manufactured from solid steel and engineered with total precision. Ideal for commercial applications, the TLS is characterised by three key elements:
The Prelude 24mm TLS’s ergonomic design ensures a faster installation and dismount from the universal main runner.
The system lies flush to the main runner to give a streamlined aesthetic, and features pre-shaped embossments on the clip to increase rigidity and control rotation.
The Prelude TLS cross tees enable Armstrong to deliver a fire resistant and fully Cradle To Cradle certified system when installed with Cradle To Cradle certified ceilings such as Ultima+, Perla and Dune Supreme.
The TLS system was introduced through the Grid-Off competition, organised by Armstrong, for its national network of Omega installers.
Teams of two from each contractor went head to head with another pair of fitters in a contest to install the TLS grid and Ultima+ board tile system in a 7.2m2 rig erected in a “boxing ring” at the NEC.
Feedback from the competition was positive, with the winners, Kevin Coyle and Tom Goodfellow from Omagh-based Omega contractor Coyle Suspended Ceilings describing the system was “first class” and “very easy to use”.
