NHIC appoint Anna Scothern as new Executive Director

1-Fullscreen capture 15032016 115257National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) appoint Anna Scothern as new Executive Director.

Anna has over 20 years’ experience working in the housing and built-environment sector including working at BRE where she helped establish:

  • National Centre for Excellence in Housing – a joint venture which was the precursor to the Zero Carbon Hub
  • National Refurbishment Centre – offering support for industry partners to raise the energy performance of existing housing stock in the UK
  • Appointed Group Digital Director – helped deliver a digital transformation strategy

Her extensive digital experience will help the NHIC engage stakeholders and maximising ROI on Council communications.

Role of the NHIC

Anna believes that the primary role of the NHIC is to

  • support members and their communities on all aspects of home improvement including energy and water usage
  • assist the most vulnerable in upgrading their homes
  • level the taxation playing-field with new build

Anna is also a judge for the Housebuilding National and Product Awards, as well as a judge for Regional and National Constructing Excellence Awards and the British Homes Awards.

Membership of the NHIC

Membership of the NHIC is open to manufacturers, service companies, trade associations, authorities or any other organisations involved in the home improvement sector.
