The ceremony, which took place in the Houses of Parliament, awarded the 21-year-old after she gained consistent praise from her supervisors who employed her as a trainee painter and decorator at the property maintenance specialists.
The apprenticeship was given to Kim as part of the Youthbuild programme in 2012, run by the charity Action for Children Scotland which enables young people to gain qualifications, training and employment in the construction industry.
