Novus creates new apprentice training centre at the JCB Academy

  • 31 Mar 2017

Novus Property Solutions is creating a new apprentice training centre at The JCB Academy in Staffordshire.

The JCB academy is a school for students interested in engineering and business and aims to develop engineers and business leaders of the future by turning learning into practice.

The project will see Novus construct a new 687sqm state-of-the-art facility to train apprentices and is predicted to be complete in late May. The existing single-storey school building will be refurbished and remodelled to create a new internal layout, designed to meet the requirements of a modern learning environment.

Novus will build an entirely new section to the front elevation, extending the footprint of the existing building and creating a new entranceway and space for students to relax during downtime.

Apprentices and students will be able to further develop their understanding of metrology, systems and mechatronics at the new facilities according to the Director of Apprenticeship programmes at The JCB Academy, Jim Bailey.

Alan Nixon, director at Novus Property Solutions said that Novus understands the importance of equipping the next generation of apprentices with the skill required to succeed.
