The Community Spirit Award has been designed to recognise the positive impact contractors working in the decorating industry have on their communities.

The awards are designed to recognise the positive impact decorating contractors’ have in their communities.

Novus was one of five contractors shortlisted for the award, after being able to demonstrate that responsible business is at the heart of its business strategy.

Novus was named Santander Responsible Business of the Year in 2014. Over the past 12 months, the company has been involved in a wide range of community projects including an ongoing partnership with Thistley Hough Academy in Stoke-on-Trent and an ambitious nursery makeover in South Africa earlier this year.

Kevin Rhone, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for Novus, commented on the nomination: “Over the last few years we have made significant strides towards becoming a truly responsible business.

“National recognition such as this is testament to the dedication of our staff, who are consistently going above and beyond to have a positive impact on people’s lives.”

Novus has recently launched its Changing Lives campaign, which aims to positively impact the lives of up to 10,000 people.
