  • 27 Feb 2017

Novus Property Solutions’ Employee Excellence Awards took place for the third consecutive year at St George’s Park in Staffordshire, celebrating the achievements of its staff, commitment to CSR projects and safety excellence.

Over 175 staff attended the event, which featured a talk by Team Sky’s Fran Millar, before guests were invited to vote for winners of some of the award categories.

Novus recognised five employees for their long service to the company: four having worked for the company for 20 years and one, Desmond Blackburn, having worked for Novus for an impressive 40 years, having first began as a painter and decorator in 1976.

Whitbread took home the Best Changing Lives Initiative category, beating other Novus clients Places for People and Wrexham County Borough Council.

Meanwhile, painter and decorator James Riley from Wrexham collected the Apprentice of the Year award, whilst Michelle Long was awarded for her commitment to the Novus values, specifically ‘Work Together’.

The Operational Excellence award was given to Novus’ Birmingham team, whilst the York office was recognised for Safety Excellence.

Novus chairman Stuart Seddon commented: “The Employee Excellence Awards are a great opportunity to reward and celebrate excellence at Novus. Our success over the last 12 months is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff and it’s fantastic to have the chance to say a big thank you for their valuable contribution and continued commitment.”
