Nvelope provides cladding for new office building

Nvelope’s NV1 vertical cladding system has been fitted to GDF Suez E and P UK’s new office building in Aberdeen

A 40,000 square foot office space has been recently built in Aberdeen to unite GDF Suez E&P UK, who were previously spread across three sites, under one roof.

Nvelope’s NV1 system was specified for the project by Glass Solutions and used to support the five storey building’s granite cladding.

The vertical cladding support system was used on the main elevation of the office building; Nvelope’s NV1 point brackets were installed to allow the cladding to move under strain. The brackets enable it to withstand harsh weather conditions, such as strong winds.

Nvelope’s NV range can be fitted to façade materials such as weatherboard, timber, pressure laminate, aluminium composite material and other metals. They are available pre-assembled with thermal isolators to help reduce thermal bridging and prevent chemical reactions.

The vertical range varies in size from 40mm to 300mm.

Since its completion, the office building has achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
