Oak effect vinyl flooring specified for Simply Gym installation

  • 24 Feb 2016

Polyflor’s Forest fx vinyl flooring has been installed at Simply Gym in Cwmbram, Wales.

Fitted by M2 Flooring Ltd for main contractor Dan Stacey Construction Ltd, the PUR sheet vinyl flooring was chosen for the main gym floor, circulation areas and stairwells around the new fitness facility.

The Rustic Oak shade was specified to complement the gym’s bright colour scheme and create an upbeat and energising environment.

The Forest vinyl range comprises 14 wood effect designs and is ideal for commercial environments that are subject to a heavy flow of traffic.

The floorcovering is further enhanced with a robust polyurethane reinforcement, which is cross linked and UV cured to provide superior maintenance benefits.

Two of Polyflor’s safety flooring products were also specified for the venue to provide sustainable wet slip resistance in the gym’s changing rooms.

Polysafe Vogue Ultra PUR safety flooring in Galactic was fired in the changing area whist Polysafe Hydro Evolve in Black Volta was used in the shower area. Hydro Evolve features a pimple emboss to provide grip in wet areas such as walk-in showers and wet rooms where there is a risk of slipping.

Rhys Jenkins, General Manager at Simply Gym Cwmbran commented, “Simply Gym is an affordable gym chain but we wanted to give the interior a high end look. The Cwmbran facility is the third gym in our chain and since it opened in January 2016 we’ve had really positive comments about it from our visitors and new members.”
