Offsite construction to be explored at February conference

  • 9 Jan 2015

The event will be held at the Inmarsat Conference Centre on 3rd February 2015

Explore Offsite is a combined conference and exhibition, aiming to create a platform for construction clients, architects, engineers and contractors to discuss the latest offsite construction solutions.

Focusing on developers who are involved in offsite construction on a daily basis, it will be the first in a series of offsite events planned for 2015.

Accounting for over 5% of the new build construction market, offsite construction has the opportunity to play a role across a series of sectors.

Though commonly used in housing, offsite construction has also experienced successes across other sectors, including health care, student accommodation, hotels and schools. Retailers such as Tesco, McDonald’s and Sainsbury’s have also used the process.

Speakers from companies including Travelodge, Barratt Developments and NG Bailey will be hosted at the Explore Offsite conference and Brandon Lewis MP, the Minister of State for Housing and Planning, will appear as the keynote speaker.

The event will be attended by up to 30 companies and 180 delegates, coming from sectors that include offsite construction in their production procedure by using timber frame, prefabricated building services and a range of hybrid technologies.

Explore Offsite will take place at the Inmarsat Conference Centre in London on 3rd February 2015.
