The first seminar, taking place on the morning of Wednesday 17th June, offers an overview of issues to consider in the specification, installation, inspection and maintenance of passive fire protection.
The seminar is aimed at those responsible for specifying or inspecting passive fire protection, and will offer delegates an introduction to their responsibilities, as well as highlighting what to look for when installing, or maintaining installed systems.
The second seminar will take place on Thursday 18th June, aiming to develop the passive fire protection knowledge of contractors who specify and install such systems and other trades that may damage existing fire protection in the process of their work.
It will explore the contractor’s responsibility to install and maintain appropriate fire protection. In addition, the seminar will analyse a case study explaining the role of passive fire protection and the implications of getting it wrong, as well as explaining how to get it right.
Delegates will also be invited along to the ASFP Passive Fire Protection Zone (D179), where industry professionals will be on hand in ASFP’s ‘Experts Clinic’ to provide further advice on passive fire protection.
The Zone will present documentation, publications and videos showcasing best practice and the role of fire protection within the built environment. ASFP will provide examples of product installation, achieving maximum performance, using the right materials and the correct approach to fire safety.
The seminars will be held in the South Gallery, overlooking the exhibition hall. Delegates must book in advance via the ASFP website, and will receive free entry to the ASFP seminar of their choice and VIP access to Firex International.
