Paving solution meets structural and aesthetic requirements

  • 23 Apr 2015

Ashridge Contractors enlisted the help of Brett Landscaping to create a durable paving solution with the ability to withstand vehicular traffic.

To create an aesthetically pleasing solution with these specific structural requirements, Brett’s team advised combining its Alpha Antique block paving with its new Lugano Black Fleck Kerbs.

A combination of Brett’s Alpha Antique paver and its Lugano Black Fleck Kerbs has delivered on the project’s requirements

Combining aesthetics with durability

Brett’s Alpha Antique paver delivers on aesthetics; designed to provide a rustic cobble stone look, it was specified in a Charcoal shade.

However, it did not meet the structural requirements of the carriageway surface, which has to resist the horizontal forces exerted by passing traffic.

A stronger laying technique was needed.

To solve the issue, Brett specified its new silver grey Lugano Black Fleck Kerbs

The Lugano range provides a granite aesthetic to create a strong paving configuration for vehicular traffic.

The range includes flags and block paving, as well as kerbs, to offer a fully integrated solution.
