PFC Universal Wrap provides versatile fire protection solution

  • 23 Nov 2016

PFC Corofil has announced the launch of PFC Universal Wrap: a multi application material for apertures containing plastic and metallic insulated and non insulated pipes.

Manufactured from an intumescent composition of elastomeric thermoplastic polymers and binders, PFC Universal Wrap provides up to 2 hours of fire protection.

The material is supplied in easy to install 25m rolls that offer consistent protection by wrapping multiple layers around each size of pipe penetration to provide high volume expansion and pressure seal.

In the event of a fire, PFC Universal Wrap expands to close off the void left by the pipe thereby containing the spread of the fire. The product is tested to ‘EN 11366-3 2009: Fire resistance tests for service installations, Penetration seals’ and is CE marked.

PFC Universal Wrap is a multi purpose material that can be used in a variety of applications, including: patress coated panel systems through drywall; insulated pipework; installation directly into drywall; masonry floors and one product fits pipe sizes up to 250mm diameter.
