Thistle Windows & Conservatories has selected Pilkington as the exclusive supplier of glazing products to its new Aberdeen showroom. Each of the styles in the showroom will incorporate products from the Pilkington Activ self-cleaning glass range.
Thistle Windows & Conservatories has supplied and installed domestic windows and conservatories for the past 20 years and last year collected the ‘UK Conservatory Installer of the Year’ award at the G15 awards.
Having worked with Pilkington for almost a decade, trade director Andy Cadman described the manufacturer as the “natural choice” when it came to selecting a supplier for the new showroom, and the company’s Pilkington Activ range was used extensively.
Designed specially for conservatories and glazed extensions, Pilkington Activ features a microscopic coating that reacts with daylight to break down organic dirt. The coating also allows rainwater to spread evenly across the glass when it hits and run off in a ‘sheet’ to remove any additional dirt.
Pilkington Activ can be combined with other Pilkington products for added benefits such as thermal insulation and solar control.
