Plastic packaging mannequin used to highlight UK’s recycling progress

  • 6 Dec 2013

The plastic torso was produced for the Identiplast 2013 conference using 50% recycled post-consumer flexible films and prepared in a roto-moulding process to demonstrate the benefits of converting plastic waste back into high quality products.

The project was part of research funded by the Waste & Resources Action Programme to find new end applications for plastic packaging from households, and was attended by Axio Director Keith Freegard who praised Britain’s ‘amazing transformation’ in recycling difficult waste materials.
