Platform lift improves access at prestigious physio practice

  • 5 Feb 2016

Stannah has specified its Midilift SL platform lift for installation at Gosforth Physio & Wellness, which is based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The platform lift has delivered manoeuvrability to the establishment, allowing wheelchair users to access the physio practice’s first floor facilities: since the installation, the practice has achieved compliance with the 2010 Equality Act, as well as recent Part M regulations.

The Midilift SL has added value to the practice, allowing its specialist team to carry out their physical, holistic and psychological services in their current building.

Supplied in its own glass structure, the Midilift does not require a pit or a lift shaft, making it suitable for installation in existing buildings.

The lift comprises panoramic glazed doors, complementing the practice’s aesthetic. It also features an intercom and constant pressure controls, as well as anti-slip flooring for increased safety.

To accommodate all passengers, the lift also encompasses a fixed ramp for wheelchair access.
