Polyflor donates heavy duty floorcovering to local community centre

The Hollins Village Community Centre in Bury has received a donation of heavy duty sheet vinyl flooring from Polyflor as part of the company’s commitment to supporting the local community.

Situated near Polyflor’s Whitefield manufacturing plant, Hollins Village Community Centre hosts a variety of events for children and adults including play groups, performing arts, dog training classes and a karate club in the evenings.

Polyflor supplied and installed a homogeneous vinyl floorcovering from its XL PU collection in Turquoise in the centre’s ‘Jubilee Room’, as well as a Polysafe Mosaic PUR safety flooring in Freshwater to cover a set of steps.

The Polyflor XL PU floorcovering is available with a choice of 18 shades in a marbleised decoration, in 1.5mm and 2mm gauges. The floorcovering features a polyurethane surface treatment which reduces life cycle maintenance costs by up to 24 percent by improving soil resistance and cleanability.

The range contains 25 percent recycled content and is completely recyclable through the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme. In addition, it has been individually certificated with a BRE Global A+ rating for major use areas.

Sarah Coverdale from the Hollins Village Community Centre Committee commented: “We were delighted to receive the flooring donation from Polyflor which helped us hugely with our refurbishment project. The floor is doing a great job of keeping up with the many different activities we hold here for the community.”
