Polyflor’s safety and homogeneous flooring collections were recently installed through new facilities at Cheshunt School in Hertfordshire.
Flooring contractors Flortec Ltd fitted approximately 2000m2 of flooring from Polyflor’s Mystique PUR, Prestige PUR and Polysafe Mosaic PUR ranges, for construction company Beard.
Mystique PUR in Titanio was used in classrooms and Prestige PUR in Grey Marl was used in corridors, staircases and other circulation areas, ideal for the busy education environments.
Featuring 16 colours with an innovative, non-directional decorative appearance, the Prestige PUR combines duotone base chips with two tonal highlight chips for a brighter, cleaner, fresher appearance.
The collection includes 12 colours and features a stylish non-directional decoration with a duotone chip decoration and three non-tonal highlight chips.
The school’s science classrooms and toilet areas feature Polysafe Mosaic PUR safety flooring in Grey Fusion, as it combines the assurance of sustainable slip resistance with high durability for years of performance.
The flooring is available in ten colours with high density flake decoration, and in order to create a safe yet attractive interior in commercial areas, the range incorporates safety aggregates in the vinyl.
In addition, the product achieves 36+ on the Pendulum wet test (slider 96/four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 20 microbes and above and complies with HSE and UK Slip Group Guidelines to give sustainable slip resistance. It also adheres to EN 13845 – the European standard for safety flooring.
Polyflor’s high quality polyurethane reinforcement is featured in all three products, cross-linked and UV cured for maximum strength. Furthermore, it achieves savings of up to 48/5 compared with untreated vinyl flooring, as the reinforcement combined with a superior closed surface finish, facilitates a low cost, lifetime polish-free maintenance regime.
The highest possible BRE Global Environmental A+ Rating (certificate No ENP336 in the Green Guide to Specification) in the major use areas has been achieved by all of these products, based on a life cycle analysis approach over a building’s life of 60 years.
The Prestige PUR, Mystique PUR and Polysafe Mosaic PUR ranges are manufactured in the UK, containing recycled material and are 100% recyclable via the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme.
Product samples can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website.
