Popularity of Fibo panels on the rise

  • 29 Nov 2018

The popularity of Fibo wall panels is growing according to Cardiff contractor R&M Williams who report that Powys County Council residents prefer the panels to traditional ceramic tiles for their bathrooms.

Since early this year, R&M Williams has been refurbishing the bathrooms of the Council’s properties. As part of the refurbishments, tenants are given the choice of having either tiles or Fibo’s panels and it has been found that over 95% choose the panels.

The panels are easy to keep clean as there’s no grouting to attract mildew or mould, offering a highly hygienic, watertight system.

R&M Williams Site Manager, Kristian Orchard, explains: “We prefer to fit the panels over tiles due to the speed and ease of installation. The Fibo Aqualock system means the panels just click together like a jigsaw puzzle – so much quicker than tiling.”

The ease of installation makes the panels ideal for the job, with R&M Williams refurbishing the
bathrooms of 2,000-4,000 of the Council’s properties.

Kristian concludes: “The support from Fibo has been great. The team visited our yard to demonstrate how to install the panels. We would definitely use Fibo in future projects and wouldn’t think twice about recommending them” concludes Kristian.
