RAINBOX attenuation prepares ground for Dundee CarStore

  • 26 Oct 2016

JDP has prepared the ground for a new CarStore supermarket in Dundee using its RAINBOX Cube attenuation system.

The new CarStore in Dundee will feature technical innovations aimed at improving customer’s car buying experience, first tried out successfully at the company’s Glasgow store.

JDP developed and supplied an effective stormwater drainage management solution incorporating RAINBOX to protect the facility, in conjunction with Graf UK who carried out the installation on behalf of main contractors CM Steel Buildings.

A total of 671.7m3 of load bearing RAINBOX Cube modular crates were selected for the project, as they were suited for heavy traffic applications. The system allows two lightweight crate modules to be stacked one inside the other, saving both transport costs and CO2 emissions.

The entire system is designed to have a high rate of infiltration can be monitored through a barrier free inspection.
