Rapid response for IKO mastic asphalt hot charge tankers & luggers

IKO’s new 24h lugger rapid response vehicle

How the IKO rapid response lugger service works

Once a tanker containing mastic asphalt and luggers have been delivered to site, the luggers are then available separately for contractors to hire from IKO for their roofing, car park or highways projects.

As many jobs are scheduled overnight, the IKO rapid response vehicle is on call 24/7 and will respond within 24 hours, and usually within 12.

  • Dedicated vehicle is manned by a qualified IKO fitter
  • Equipped for every eventuality, carrying tools, PPE, maintenance kit and spare parts

Marcus Lee, Sales Director of IKO: “IKO has 16 branded luggers available to hire nationally. They’re designed to save contractors time and money during the installation of our Permapark, Permaphalt, and Permatrack systems. Call-outs are very rare but the rescue and maintenance vehicle – also unique and now fully kitted out – is an integral part of this service. It acts as insurance that any problems with the tanker or lugger will be swiftly rectified. No other asphalt supplier has the resources to offer customers this level of support.”
