Register for Newton’s First Type B Waterproofing Live CPD Webinar

Newton Technical Director Richard Crossley will be delivering the company’s third monthly RIBA approved CPD webinar of 2021 next month.

This event, on Wednesday 5 May at 1pm, will be the first live webinar presentation of Newton’s newest RIBA approved, double-point CPD on ‘Achieving Continuity in Concrete Waterproofing to British Standard 8102:2009’ and will focus on the predominant form of water resistance, ‘Type B’ waterproofing, where the structure itself is constructed to be integrally waterproof.

Richard, who has over 25 years of experience in the waterproofing industry, will provide an overview of the types of systems that provide protection to below-ground structures from water from the ground in the UK, with a focus on Type B structurally integral waterproofing.

Newton CPD

The CPD covers the following topics:

 – What guidance and requirements are offered by BS 8102:2009.
 – How to ensure your below-ground structure is watertight, using some of the predominant waterproofing products available in the UK.
 – Techniques for maintaining the continuity of your Type B waterproofing.

The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and will end with a Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to discuss the CPD material in greater detail with Richard.
