Specifiers and architects nationwide have the chance to partake in a new series of virtual CPD courses, from REHAU, focusing on crucial topics within the construction sector.
With in-person classes momentarily on hiatus due to lockdown and social distancing measures, polymer solutions provider REHAU is instead turning to the digital world to keep building sector professionals informed about the latest technology and solutions.
Following the success of a trial class earlier this month, the company will offer further interactive courses for industry stakeholders looking to further enhance their knowledge and skill base.
Commencing on 13th May, REHAU will cover subjects such as heating and plumbing pipe solutions. acoustic soil and waste pipe systems, and district heating.
Each CPD course will be led by a relevant REHAU sector expert, including plastics industry expert Laurence Chownsmith, Technical Team Leader for Renewable Energy, Alexandra Leedham, and the division’s Head of Technical, Franz Huelle.
They will include a presentation and further learning materials, as well as a Q&A session in which course participants can interact with the REHAU team to further facilitate learning.
– District Heating and Heat Networks – 13th May, 2pm
– Acoustic Soil and Waste Pipe Systems – 14th May, 10.30am
– Heating and Plumbing Pipe Systems – 21st May, 10.30am
Franz Huelle commented: “Though there has been considerable disruption to the construction industry over the past few weeks with many projects being placed on hold, the sector continues to be a hotbed of innovation.
“With that in mind, we want to continue to support specifiers and architects and ensure they remain ahead of the curve when it comes to new technologies and solutions.
“Though it certainly is not ideal that we cannot provide CPD support in the usual classroom environment, we want to use this time to ensure building service professionals can further expand their skillsets.
“By doing so, these course participants can put themselves in the strongest possible position as the industry takes steps back to normality in the near future.”
