Retirement rooms revel in REHAU

  • 21 Feb 2018

REHAU‘s grey laminated TOTAL70 windows and doors have been installed in an Essex retirement complex, ensuring both a practical and stylish finish.

Beaumont House is a new build apartment block features a contemporary, modern look, with a clever use of colour louvers next to grey windows to add interest to the vibrant exterior of the building.

The use of large windows with fixed side lights and patio doors leading onto private terrace areas were vital to the design, flooding the living spaces with natural light.

SEH Commercial worked on the specification and fitted the windows and doors.

Sales Director at SEH Commercial, Tim Hoelzer, commented on the choice of windows chosen to complement the contemporary design of the the retirement complex.

“REHAU’s TOTAL70 windows fitted the bill and we were able to use both window and door profiles from the range, for a continuity of design across the development,” he said.

The TOTAL70 Window and Door System offers a range of multi-chambered profiles, designed to meet the requirements of the new build, commercial and domestic refurbishment markets.

124 TOTAL70 tilt and turn windows plus 67 patio doors, all with an anthracite grey laminate finish, were specified.

The grey foil for the Beaumont House complex gives the windows and doors the modern look of aluminium, but because they are still PVC-U, there are no drawbacks of aluminium such as the greater expense or lower thermal efficiency.

Kevin O‘Neill from REHAU spoke about the project, referring to the windows as  a ‘stunning addition to the contemporary architecture’.

“The Beaumont House development shows that REHAU profiles offers both aesthetics and a commitment to style, as well as delivering on the practical features that architects demand like security and energy efficiency.” he said.
