Reversible window system used for luxury care home

  • 14 Aug 2015

Templeton House is situated in a conservation area in Ayr, and has been designed to blend historic and contemporary design, with a traditional villa façade retained alongside a new modern pavilion.

The windows were installed in the REHAU TOTAL70R fully reversible window system

Walker Profiles were contracted by Cruden Building and Renewals for the project, which included the fabrication and installation of two sets of large multi-faceted bay windows on both the ground and first floors of the new pavilion.

Fully reversible window system

Throughout the project, the windows were installed in the REHAU TOTAL70R fully reversible window system – featuring a flush fitting sash and frame with slim sight line which complemented the contemporary setting.

REHAU TOTAL70R is also a multi-chamber profile, offering high levels of thermal performance with the option of triple glazing if required.

Walker Profiles installed the windows across all 72 of the en-suite rooms, arranged over three floors, as well as glazed doors leading to the garden and patio areas.

REHAU TOTAL70R has been designed to offer architects and specifiers a stylish and more contemporary reversible window system.

In addition to applications like Templeton Care Home, which blend old and new within a conservation area, REHAU has installed the windows in contemporary developments for mass market house builders.
