Roof Maker launches ThermFold bifold door system

  • 20 Jan 2016

Roof Maker has introduced ThermFold, an insulated aluminium folding sliding door system, which has been designed to complement its existing range of skylights and roof windows.

ThermFoldRoof Maker’s ThermFold bifold doors feature triple glazing and toughened safety glass as standard; they are also available with 48mm frameless glass units, which can be structurally bonded to the door’s exterior.

The complete system offers a U-value of 1.0, whilst the triple glazed unit offers 0.6, allowing for an enhanced thermal performance.

A 50mm thermal break between the inner and outer aluminium profiles eliminates cold spots around windows and doors, ensuring that homeowners are kept warm in the winter.

ThermFold also features child friendly gaskets between the doors, which have been developed to prevent finger trapping, and concealed outer frame fixings for a professional installation finish.

Customising ThermFold

The door system’s thin aluminium frames allow for a maximised view, whilst Roof Maker’s selection of handles and hinges enable users to tailor their doors to suit their individual tastes. The doors can be supplied without external handles to create a flush glazed ‘wall of glass’.

ThermFold is also available in a range of standard RAL colours, matching the company’s rooflights.
