Rooflight Association Technical Library updates – conservation of heat & power

  • 22 Nov 2023

As the UK’s trade association representing the rooflight industry, The Rooflight Association publishes freely available guidance for specifiers on its website.

Details of regulatory requirements covering rooflights and roof windows in respect of the conservation of heat & power, have now been assimilated into four new ‘Quickguides’ each covering the different recently introduced requirements of the four devolved nations of the UK.

Rooflight Association Quickguides are designed to provide specifiers with the salient facts, in a series of brief and easily digested documents.

Jeremy Dunn, Rooflight Association Director and Technical Committee representative, says: “These changes are another step in improving the thermal efficiency of buildings working towards the future homes standard and achieving net zero.”

The new regulations were introduced at varying dates across the nations, with the latest being Approved Document L 2022 for Wales, Volume 2: Buildings other than Dwellings, which came into force earlier this year.

The four new Quickguides 09EN, 09SCO, 09NI and 09WA, can all be downloaded free of charge.
