Ross-on-Wye based REHAU has received recognition by the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
This is for its innovative and ground breaking products, plus its commitment to workplace health and wellbeing.
The polymer manufacturer featured in the shortlist in the two categories for the business awards, with winners announced at the Annual Awards Ceremony on June 7, having been judged by a local and regional panel.
The awards showcase businesses in the two counties that are excelling, recognising the hard work of the teams involved.
REHAU wanted to showcase the fantastic innovation shown by its RAUTITAN product – a universal polymer pipework solution used for both heating and drinking water systems, so entered that.
With high performance, leak free joints, ease of installation and a certification to supply safe drinking water all assured, the pipework solution has been popular since its launch last year.

The firm also highlighted its working environment and in house schemes through the Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace category.
REHAU’s Evolve programme aims to make staff feel more empowered and happier within their working life, with other workplace schemes introduced including a running/walking route around the Headquarters at Ross, a pedometer challenge in October last year, employee discounts, and initiatives such as low calorie options in the staff canteen and fundraisers including a Three Peaks Challenge for staff members later this year.
Martin Hitchin, Chief Executive of REHAU UK, said the company was ‘delighted’ to have been shortlisted for the awards, as it reflects the great innovation that is continuously strived for.
He added that the nominations also shine a light on how they work as a business, ensuring staff are healthy and their wellbeing is taken care of.
“Both are key elements to REHAU, so it’s great to have this recognised by the Chamber,” he said.
