Sandtrex Trade 365 is the solution to the cold-weather

  • 16 Mar 2017

Twelve homes in Birmingham were identified for redecoration and given a fresh look over winter by the Family Optima Community Association.

Due to the falling temperature, a special solution was required when it came to repainting the external elevations. Therefore, the specification services team at Crown Paints chose Sandtex Trade 365 All-Weather Masonry Paint as it can cope with the cold conditions.

Sandtex Trade 365 All Weather Masonry Paint’s high performance Pliolite Resin formulation can be applied in temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius, and is rainy resistant in twenty minutes.

Consequently, specifiers are able to extend their window of opportunity to complete external decorating projects beyond the traditional exterior decorating season. Novus Property Solutions carried out the application.

Building Surveyor for Family Optima Community Association, Kam Cachal said Crown Paints came up with the perfect solution for the cold weather and they are very pleased with the project and have received positive feedback from residents about the paint.

Colin Carpenter, Specification Sales Manager at Crown Paints explained that the same product was used there in the past so Crown knew it would be right for the job. He added that Crown has carried out various projects with Optima over the years, so this projects continued a long-standing relationship.

Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-Tra was also used on the works, on the exterior doors of the properties.
