Schlüter tile profiles enhance kitchen and bathroom designs

  • 31 Aug 2016

Available in a variety of designs, finishes and materials, tile profiles can enhance the aesthetic appeal of kitchens and bathrooms. Schlüter-PROFILES offer a range of solutions for residential and commercial applications.

The range offers edge profiles for floors: Schlüter-SCHIENE has been developed to finish tiled surfaces and protect the outer perimeters of both ceramic and natural stone floor coverings.

The Schlüter-RENO series enables a seamless transition between adjoining floor coverings of different heights. Its threshold strips protect exposed tile edges.

Meanwhile, the tile trim profiles of Schlüter-RONDEC, QUADEC and JOLLY can be used to create an attractive finishing for wall coverings and skirtings. By using these profiles in conjunction with Schlüter’s decorative DESIGNLINE and QUADEC-FS border profiles, specifiers can create designer accents, edge profiles and wall corners.

Schlüter-TREP stair nosing profiles have been designed to improve safety

Schlüter has also developed a variety of profiles to improve safety credentials. Its TREP stair nosing profiles have been designed to provide slip resistance on stairs, which are often exposed to heavy mechanical stresses.

By highlighting each step, the DDA-approved profiles can prevent injuries; they can be combined with Schlüter-LIPROTEC illuminated profiles to enhance visibility further.

The Schlüter-DILEX series comprises expansion and control joint profiles, which have been designed to control movement in screed or substrate joints. When installed in accordance with BS5385 Parts 3 and 4 for tile, and Part 5 for stone, the profiles can prevent movement from transferring through to the surface.
