Schüco launches advanced unitised façade system

  • 30 Sep 2020

Aluminium systems specialist Schüco is launching its new unitised UDC 80 façade system, combining enhanced energy efficiency with design versatility and proven weather resistant performance.

Building on the successful UDC 65 system, UDC 80 hits new heights in energy efficient performance, with a U-value of just 0.86 W/m2K.

Arriving to site as prefabricated modules, the UDC (Unitised Dynamic Construction) 80 system is designed to suit modern construction methods for medium and high rise residential or commercial buildings.

The slim profile (80 mm) gives an elegant external appearance and the system is designed to incorporate not just glazing, but a range of materials including sheet metal panels, printed glass or natural stone which can be integrated flush into the façade, or face-filled to create deep offsets if required.

Two versions provide the option to include concealed ventilation (UDC 80 CV) or to implement structural glazing (UDC 80 SG).

With tried and trusted German engineering and robust performance testing, the UDC 80 showcases excellent watertightness, strength and airtightness, making it more than a match for the UK weather.
